Testimonials
Here are comments from some of our clients.
Ian Clapperton: SPPA: Director of Operations and Scheme Manager [NHS and Teachers] Pensions in Scotland.
We were delighted with the input in the design
of our web site. Our pension scheme members made very favourable comments
about the web pages during a recent survey. Employers [such as GPs and GP
practice managers] also make regular use of the site and find the layout
easy to follow.
A quick response to requests for updates can be relied upon and suggestions on how we can improve things. In the early days of our relationship our staff given the necessary skills and training to make web site changes,
and the training skills were very evident. Overall SPPA are delighted with
the service and will continue to make use of these
services in the future.
David Grey: Principal: Erskine Stewart's Melville Schools
I have just received my copy of the Merchant Maiden 2007, and have spent much of the weekend enjoying it and perusing its pages. I think it is the best one we have produced since I arrived in 2000, and I am very grateful to you, as ever, for the quality of design, which I think is quite exceptional. I have rarely seen a standard so uniformly high across all aspects of the magazine, whether the artwork, design, photography or the quality of the written word, and you must take great credit for the role you play in its production.
Maureen Ferrier: Head of Communications - Scottish Higher and Further Education Funding Council.
Patrick O' Connell designed the new Scottish Funding Council's web site in 2005 to a very tight brief, but he brought imagination, innovation and style to pages which are content-heavy and with little scope for illustration. He brought everything in on time on a tight schedule - even when we dithered, maintained perspective at all times, produced solutions which we are able to use but most of all was fun to work with.
Olivia Marks-Woldman: Policy & Development Manager: Epilepsy Scotland
Thank you!
We are delighted with the finished product of the Epilepsy in Later Life report, and greatly appreciate your hard work and patience.

We have been very pleased with the business relationship with Patrick O' Connell. We are
very impressed with the way you have worked in partnership with us, been
impressed with your knowledge of web standards including accessibility and
feel that we have had, not only good value for money but more importantly,
best value in terms of service and ongoing support.
We have been very impressed with the web sites that Patrick O' Connell has designed for our
clients. Our clients are proud of the complete design which was accommodated
with no fuss and completed both on time and on budget. POC designed very
professional web sites with new looks, good navigation and pages that load
quickly. We have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Patrick O' Connell to any enquiries
regarding web site design and marketing.
Philippa Swann: Development Officer: Edinburgh College of Art
Last but not least, I would like to express my thanks to you for all your help with Platinum exhibition at the Royal Museum of Scotland.
I am delighted with the panels and many people have commented on the high standard of the invitation card (a rare event at ECA!). It was a pleasure to work with you; I feel that you really responded to the subject and brief.
Dianne Tullis: Project Manager Improvement & Support Team Scottish Executive Health Department
The Doing Well by People with Depression Programme, a Scottish Executive funded initiative, commissioned a DVD to highlight some of the successes of the project. The production of the DVD was performed according to tight timescale's and various changes to the product were necessary at a late stage in the process. Design for Screen were heavily involved in bringing together various strands of the production into the final product. Patrick O'Connell provided timely and effective support in the editing, design and programming of the final product and was flexible and efficient in turning around requested changes during the production process. The DVD was launched on time in March 2006.
